Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine was founded in 1958. 198 1 was identified as a national key college of traditional Chinese medicine and a key university in Shandong province. It is an excellent school for undergraduate teaching evaluation of the Ministry of Education, a college of traditional Chinese medicine founded by Shandong Provincial People's Government and state administration of traditional chinese medicine, a famous school for training applied basic talents in Shandong Province, and a provincial civilized campus in Shandong Province. The school has the largest number of national key disciplines among provincial universities, and the first batch was authorized by master's degree and doctor's degree, and the first batch became the chief undertaking unit of the national "973" project, and the number of master's degree points ranked among the top of similar universities in China.
There are 35 undergraduate majors in the school, involving medicine, science, literature, engineering, management, law and education, including 27 national first-class undergraduate majors and 8 national first-class undergraduate majors. There are 3 first-class disciplines authorized by doctoral degrees, 9 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degrees and 3 national key disciplines. Traditional Chinese medicine was selected as the "peak discipline" in Shandong Province, and the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine was selected as the "dominant and characteristic discipline" in Shandong Province. In the ranking of the best disciplines in China in 20021year, TCM ranked sixth, and the first-class disciplines in GDI University ranked third in China in 2022. The combination of traditional Chinese and western medicine ranks fifth, and clinical medicine continues to maintain the global top of ESI 1%.
