City University of Macau (Portuguese: Universidade da Cidade de Macau, English: City University of Macau) was founded in 198 1, formerly known as the University of East Asia. It is the first modern university in Macau, the first university to provide postgraduate and doctoral education in Macau, and one of the "three major universities in Macau". It has a pioneering historical position in the history of Macao's higher education development. City University is one of the three universities in Macao Special Administrative Region with the right to award bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctor's degree. Now it has three campuses, the main campus is located in Taipa University Hill, Macau, with a total area of about 86,000 square meters. The school is surrounded by mountains and seas, with warm spring in bloom, a combination of Chinese and Western cultures, and a panoramic view of the South China Sea, the Pearl River and Macau, and is known as "the most beautiful university campus in Macau". The school is dominated by humanities and social sciences, and other disciplines develop together. Most of its teachers graduated from Yale University, Oxford University, Columbia University, Hongkong University, Tsinghua University and other famous universities at home and abroad. The university also hired a group of famous teachers as students, including top experts such as American Association for the Advancement of Science, China Academy of Sciences, China Academy of Engineering, Academia Sinica and American Society of Mechanical Engineering. More than 99% of teachers have doctorates. At present, the comprehensive academic level of CityU ranks third in Australia. At present, City University has established partnerships with more than 0/00 universities around the world, such as Liaoning University, Zhejiang University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, Chinese Culture University, Oxford University, National Sun Yat-sen University, Louisiana State University and Grust University. It is taught in three languages: Chinese, English and Portuguese. Business, international tourism, psychology, cultural industry and other disciplines are the dominant disciplines in Chengdu, and some disciplines are in the leading position in the world or Asia.
