1, University of Science and Technology Liaoning. Benyuanxi Metallurgy College. The history of the school can be traced back to Benxi Teachers' College 1907. Benxi Higher Vocational College and Benxi Normal College were renamed and upgraded several times, and were integrated in 2000. In 2004, they were upgraded to undergraduate courses and renamed Liaoning University of Science and Technology.

2. Liaoning Metallurgical Vocational and Technical College. It is a school reorganized from Benxi Iron and Steel Workers Technical College and Liaoning Metallurgical Technician College. In 2009, the college was approved by the Liaoning Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. Organized by Benxi Iron and Steel Group, it has become the only metallurgical vocational college in Liaoning Province.
