School of Information Science and Engineering, Shandong University, located in the new headquarters of Shandong University East Campus, is a science and engineering college integrating teaching, scientific research and scientific and technological achievements. After more than half a century of vicissitudes and development, the School of Information Science and Engineering has formed a complete education system of "undergraduate-master-doctoral". At present, there are: optical engineering, information and communication engineering, two first-class disciplines, doctoral degree awarding points and postdoctoral mobile stations; Six doctoral degree awarding points in two disciplines: communication and information system, signal and information processing, integrated circuit design, photoelectric engineering, optical information science and technology, and radio physics; There are 9 master's degree authorization points, including photoelectric engineering, optical information science and technology, communication and information system, signal and information processing, circuit and system, electromagnetic field and microwave technology, radio physics, physical electronics and integrated circuit design, among which "communication and information system", "optical engineering" and "signal and information processing" are provincial key disciplines; There are also two provincial key laboratories: photonics and broadband wireless communication technology. Among them, "Communication and Information System", "Optical Engineering" and "Photonics Laboratory" were approved as key construction projects in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. The college now has seven undergraduate majors: Internet of Things Engineering, Communication Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, Electronic Information Science and Technology, Integrated Circuit Design and Integration System, Optical Information Science and Technology, and Electronic Science and Technology. Among them, 20 10 College newly established the major of Internet of Things, which made Shandong University one of the few universities in China with the major of Internet of Things. Communication engineering, integrated circuit design and integrated system, optical information science and technology are under construction. Communication engineering and optical information science and technology are also brand majors in Shandong Province.

The laboratory area of the college is nearly 6000 square meters, including two provincial key laboratories. The college has fixed assets of more than 35 million yuan and more than 30 sets of various large-scale precision instruments, with a value of about140,000 yuan. The college library has more than 40,000 books, including more than 20,000 Chinese and foreign books, more than 20,000 Chinese and foreign periodicals, more than 300 Chinese periodicals and more than 350 foreign periodicals.
