Nanjing Agricultural University, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It was established by the Ministry of Education and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province. It is a national first-class university with the advantages of 2 1 1 project and 985 project.
The school's predecessor can be traced back to Sanjiang Normal School 1902 Department of Agricultural Natural History and Jinling University 19 14 Department of Agricultural Science. 1952 national university adjustment, the former Agricultural College of Central University, Agricultural College of Jinling University and some Agricultural Colleges of Zhejiang University merged to form Nanjing Agricultural College;
197 1 moved to Yangzhou and merged with Subei Agricultural College to form Jiangsu Agricultural College; 1979, moved back to Nanjing and resumed Nanjing Agricultural College; 1963 was identified as a national key university; 1984 was renamed Nanjing Agricultural University; In 2000, the whole system was transferred from the Ministry of Agriculture to the Ministry of Education.
By May 2022, the school has Wei Gang Campus, Jiangbei New Campus and Pukou Campus. There are 20 colleges (departments) and 68 undergraduate majors; There are 15 postdoctoral research stations, 17 first-class discipline doctor authorization points, 30 first-class discipline master authorization points and 20 professional degree master points; Full-time undergraduate students 17000, and graduate students 1 1000; There are more than 2,900 faculty members.
