Among the top ten universities in Asia, Peking University ranked second, Hong Kong University tied for third, Tsinghua University fifth, Zhejiang University sixth, Fudan University seventh, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology ninth, Shanghai Jiaotong University 10, and China * * * had seven universities before entering Asia 10, including five in Chinese mainland and two in Hong Kong. The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Taiwan Province University and City University of Hong Kong entered the top 20. Foreign countries are traditional Asian powers with developed economy and technology. The University of Tokyo is often regarded as "the university with the largest comprehensive strength in Asia". Unfortunately, in the QS ranking of Asian universities, the University of Tokyo is not in the top of Asia 10, but only in 1 1, which is really surprising. Among other foreign universities, Kyoto University ranks 15, tokyo institute of technology ranks 2 1, Osaka University ranks 22nd, and Tohoku University ranks 23rd.
Foreign countries are also newly developed places in Asia. In the QS ranking of Asian universities, Korea University ranks 13, Foreign Institute of Science and Technology ranks 14, Yonsei University ranks 16, Sungkyunkwan University ranks 17 and Seoul National University ranks 18.
