1976 was founded in Tokyo, and the campus is now located in Qiu Guang.
The school adopts IB English course, focusing on cultivating students' global leadership and innovative spirit. There are about 500 students from 46 different countries in the world. The proportion of international students is higher than 50%. The class size is about 23.
Applicants need to take English and math exams, with the purpose of evaluating their previous studies and determining whether students need study or language support. After the exam, the applicant will be interviewed by the principal to let the principal know the applicant's views and expectations on the school and the reasons why parents want their children to receive international education.
The school warmly welcomes foreign students to join, and foreign students below Grade 8 can get ESL English support. The school is a member of JCIS Japan International School Association, CIS International School Association and NEASC American New England College Association.
Every year, graduates enter the top universities in Europe and America, including Imperial College, UCL, University of Edinburgh, University of Sydney, UBC and University of California. The school's art courses include: musical instruments, bands, choirs, graphic design, drama performance, photography, digital art, painting, pottery, sculpture and so on. Students have rich club activities.
