Brief introduction of Mei Zhongxie
Mei Zhongxie (1900- 197 1) was born in Yongjia, Zhejiang. After 1933, he served as the chair professor of civil law at National Central University (predecessor of Nanjing University) and Central Political College, and the head of the law department at Central Political College, during which he was a professor at Soochow University in Chongqing. Later, in Taiwan Province Province, he served as a professor of civil law at the Law School of Taiwan Province Provincial University (and presided over the Law Institute of the school), a lecturer in civil law at the Judicial Training Institute of the Ministry of Justice and Administration, a professor of commercial law at the Law School of Zhongxing University in Taiwan Province Province, and concurrently served as a professor of civil law at the Political Cadre School, the Central Police School, the Military Law School and the private Soochow University Law School, and a member of the Academic Evaluation Committee of the Ministry of Education. Famous civil jurist, together with Jiang Ping and Xie Huaiyi, is called "the three outstanding civil law scholars in China".
