Water is the source of life. Nowadays, the water crisis characterized by shortage of water resources, deterioration of water environment and unreasonable water use has gradually become an important restrictive factor affecting the sustainable development of economy and society. This summer social practice activity of "Protecting Tan Liang Green Water and Creating Beautiful China" not only improved my personal quality and teamwork ability, but also made efforts to improve the water quality of Tanliang Tongshan Bridge with my professional skills. I'm very pleased.
Social practice in summer is very hard. It takes more than two hours by car to get water from the water intake point of Tanliang River. The Tongshan Bridge section of Tanliang River is divided into upstream intake, downstream intake and drain intake, and the dissolved oxygen, nitrite content, phosphate content and pH value in the water are detected respectively. Because there are few sewage pipes in the upstream, the content of nitrite and phosphate is less, while the content of these substances in sewage pipes and downstream areas exceeds the national standard. During the experiment, the partners were very serious. According to the experimental plan, they carried out experiments step by step, repeated experiments and compared experiments to make the detection more accurate.
The next day, I went to visit and walked on the street with a temperature of 37 degrees. Even with an umbrella, I still feel hot. Kindhearted residents told us that Tan Lianghe has improved a lot in recent years. In the past two years, the water was very smelly, and it could be smelled more than 300 meters away. The water was black. Now there are fish in the river, and there will be special staff to inspect it regularly. The captain of an old production team told me that they all want to do their best to protect Tan Lianghe, and they don't want their lives to be affected by pollution. They will also try not to litter or discharge domestic sewage. The director of Jiecun told us that the water quality of Tanliang River has been greatly improved now that the country has implemented the river length system. Now a sewage treatment plant is being built, and the requirements for discharged water are getting higher and higher. Each river basin has a special river protection team, which is required to inspect the river surface 1 time at least every day. There is a high-end APP for supervision, and the data will be directly transmitted to the Environmental Protection Bureau. With the efforts of the government, illegal factories near Tan Lianghe also stopped operating. Compared with the situation in previous years, the crops nearby will not live long, and there has been great improvement in the past two years. Visiting is an opportunity to practice your eloquence. In the process of communicating with people, you will find the kind and sincere eyes of the villagers, and you will understand your lack of political knowledge. Sometimes it is very difficult to communicate with the villagers, and even they can't answer. It seems that universities really not only learn the knowledge of words in books, but also go deep into the grassroots. Books without words are worth learning.
After experiencing the water quality testing activities in Tan Lianghe, I thought about the water quality in my hometown. The villagers in their hometown did not get help from the local government, but relied on drainage pipes to discharge the water from coal plants as domestic water. However, how do ordinary people with low education know that coal mine water also contains substances harmful to health? They only know that clean water can be drunk, boiled and watered, which can bring convenience to their lives. As we all know, the water in coal plants contains lead. Zn,? Cu,? Cr,? Cd? And Hg, the consequences of drinking unclean groundwater or ingesting heavy metals through eating crops are very serious. This may also be the reason why the cancer rate in my hometown is getting higher and higher in recent years, regardless of age. As a college student majoring in chemistry, I have the responsibility and obligation to try my best to help them with my professional knowledge. Therefore, I promise to try my best to detect heavy metals in local drinking water this summer. If I can't detect them because of my lack of knowledge, I will also ask the teacher in the laboratory for help. This is the greatest significance given to me by the social practice of water quality testing in Tan Liang.
I have also gained a lot these days. I learned tolerance, understanding, helping each other, caring for each other, bearing, striving and persisting. But at the same time, I realize that my strength is insignificant, and I need to constantly strive to improve myself, so as to better serve the society, create my own value, and work hard to build a beautiful China and realize the sustainable development of the Chinese nation.
