Regulations of Beijing Normal University on the Management of Undergraduate Student Status
Chapter I Admission and Registration

Article 1 According to the national enrollment regulations, freshmen admitted to our school should report to the school with the admission notice, pay tuition fees according to the relevant requirements and the prescribed time limit, and go through the admission procedures. Those who are unable to enroll on schedule for some reason should ask for leave from the Admissions Office. Those who fail to report for more than two weeks (inclusive) beyond the prescribed time limit shall be deemed to have given up their admission qualification, except for reasons of force majeure or school recognition.

Article 2 After the new students enter the school, the school shall conduct a reexamination within three months in accordance with the national enrollment regulations and the physical examination standards for new students. Those who pass the examination are allowed to register and get a student status. Those who fail to pass the examination will be dealt with according to the situation until they are disqualified.

Anyone who practices fraud or engages in malpractices for personal gain to obtain a student status will be disqualified once verified. If the circumstances are bad, please investigate and deal with the relevant departments.

Article 3 Freshmen who suffer from diseases that can't meet the entrance examination standards and are diagnosed by the affiliated hospital of Beijing Normal University (hereinafter referred to as the school hospital) or the secondary hospital designated by the school are not suitable for studying at school, but can meet the entrance examination standards after short-term (within one year) treatment, are allowed to retain their entrance qualification for one year.

Freshmen who apply for retaining admission qualifications should apply to their colleges (departments). Each college (department) should fill in the Examination and Approval Form for Students' Reservation of Admission Qualification of Beijing Normal University, and after being signed by the competent leaders of the college (department), submit it to the Student Affairs Office for examination and approval.

Freshmen who retain the qualification for admission should go through the formalities of leaving school and leave school within the specified time (usually two weeks) after receiving the notice from the Political and Educational Affairs Office; Those who fail to go through the formalities of leaving school on time and leave school will no longer retain their admission qualifications.

Freshmen who retain admission qualifications do not have a student status. Those who want to obtain a student status should apply to their hospital (department) within one week before the start of the next school year, and attach the diagnosis certificate of the secondary hospital designated by the school; The college (department) shall fill in the Examination and Approval Form for Appointment of Students in Beijing Normal University, which shall be signed by the dean (department head) and submitted to the Political and Educational Affairs Office for review.

Those who meet the admission medical examination standards after examination by the school shall be reported to the principal in charge for approval, and those who are admitted to the school shall go through the admission formalities again with the freshmen at the next level; Those who do not meet the physical examination standards of freshmen or fail to go through the admission procedures within the time limit will be disqualified.

Article 4 Students who have obtained a school status must report to the school at the beginning of each semester with their student ID cards and go through the registration procedures. Pay the tuition fees due in this academic year at the beginning of the fall semester of each academic year. Those who do not meet the registration requirements or fail to pay tuition fees without the approval of the school will not be enrolled.

Those who can't report as scheduled for some reason must ask for leave and perform the formalities of suspending reporting. Leave formalities shall be handled in accordance with Article 9 of these Provisions. Those who fail to report for duty within two weeks without justifiable reasons will be treated as automatic withdrawal.

Student registration conditions: complete the courses specified in the education and teaching plan as required, pass the physical examination, go through all registration procedures on time, and pay tuition fees on time.

Fifth unregistered students do not enjoy the treatment of students in school.

Chapter II Academic System and Length of Study in School

Article 6 The undergraduate education system is four years. Undergraduate students usually study for four years. Suspension time is not included in the number of years of study in school.

Students who have completed the courses and various education and teaching links (hereinafter referred to as courses) stipulated in the professional education and teaching plan in advance may apply for early graduation. Students who graduate early pay all tuition fees according to the length of study.

Students who apply for early graduation should submit their applications at the end of the fifth semester.

Students who graduate early are allowed to be included in their graduation scores, and those who fail to meet the graduation requirements without special reasons are deemed to have graduated and left school.

Chapter III Courses and Elective Courses

Seventh students should generally study courses in accordance with the requirements of the professional teaching plan. Students with learning potential can independently determine their learning process according to the curriculum requirements, and take elective courses across grades after being approved by the competent leaders of the college (department).

Students can choose courses across schools according to the inter-school agreement (including international students selected by the school). The categories, grades and credits of courses studied in other schools shall be determined or converted by the college (department) and the Academic Affairs Office after examination.

Students can study minor courses or double bachelor's degree courses at the same time according to the school's minor and double bachelor's degree teaching plan and the Measures for the Administration of Minor and Double Bachelor's Degree in Beijing Normal University.

Article 8 Students must go through the course selection procedures within the prescribed time limit. Those who have not gone through the course selection procedures are not allowed to attend classes or take exams, otherwise their grades will be invalid.

Once a course is selected, it is generally not allowed to quit halfway. Students who really need to drop out of school for special reasons should go through the formalities of dropping out of school within the specified time. Those who have not gone through the formalities of withdrawing from class and do not participate in the course study and assessment shall be treated as absenteeism.

Those who are absent from class for one third (inclusive) in one semester will be disqualified from the final examination of this course, and the examination results will be marked as "0", "failed" or "unqualified". Those who don't take the final exam or hand in their papers without reason will be treated as absenteeism, and the test scores will be recorded as "0", "failed" or "unqualified".

Ninth students should consciously abide by the study discipline. Don't be late for class or leave early. If you can't participate in the activities stipulated in the education and teaching plan due to illness or other reasons, you should go through the formalities of asking for leave in advance and get approval, otherwise it will be handled according to the Measures for Disciplinary Actions of Students in Beijing Normal University.

Students must submit a written application for leave, which will be examined and approved by the class teacher within three days; Approved by the competent leadership of the hospital (department) within one week; Approved by the Student Affairs Office for more than one week; The student affairs office for more than two weeks shall be approved by the principal in charge.

Freshmen who fail to report for leave within one week shall be approved by the Admissions Office; More than a week, approved by the person in charge of the admissions office.

If you leave due to illness, you should provide the diagnosis certificate of the school hospital or the secondary hospital (including).

Upon the expiration of vacation, students should go through the formalities of canceling vacation in time. Those who can't return to school after the expiration of the leave period should go through the formalities of renewing their leave according to the above provisions, and attach relevant written materials according to the total length of leave, otherwise they will be dealt with according to the Measures for the Punishment of Students in Beijing Normal University.

Chapter IV Performance Evaluation and Record

Article 10 Students should take the course examinations stipulated in the school education and teaching plan. The assessment results are recorded in the grade book and included in my file.

Eleventh assessment is divided into examination and assessment.

In principle, the scores of examination courses should be scored in a structured way that combines the usual scores with the final exam results. The score is evaluated by a percentage system. Only students with more than 60 points can get credits for this course.

The final grade of the course can be regarded as the usual grade or final grade, and it can also be comprehensively evaluated by combining the usual grade and final grade. Grade evaluation can adopt five-level or two-level scoring method. Only those who pass or pass (inclusive) can get credits for this course.

Twelfth use the average credit score as a comprehensive evaluation index of students' academic performance. All exam course scores count as credits.

Credits = course credits × test scores

Average credit score = ∑ (course credit × test score)/∑ course credit.

Thirteenth compulsory courses must be re-examined; If you fail in elective courses, you can retake the exam, and other courses can be re-selected; Passed courses may not be retaken. The reconstruction results shall be recorded together with the actual results and marked with the word "reconstruction".

Fourteenth students due to illness or other special reasons can not take part in the course examination, should ask for leave to the school (department) before the examination, and it will take effect after the approval of the school (department) leader. Leave due to illness must be submitted to the school hospital or the second-class (inclusive) or above hospital certificate. The result of this course is temporarily marked as "Deferred Examination". Students who have been approved to postpone the exam must go through the course selection procedures again next semester and take the final exam. The postponed examination results are recorded according to the normal examination results. If you fail to complete the examination of this course before graduation, the score of this course will be marked as "0", "failed" or "unqualified". Those who leave their posts without permission or leave their posts without permission and do not take the exam will be treated as absenteeism, and the exam results will be recorded as "0", "failed" or "unqualified".

Fifteenth students who seriously violate the examination discipline or cheat, the course examination results are invalid, marked with "0", "failed" or "unqualified", and the cheating course results are marked with "cheating"; Depending on the circumstances of violation of discipline or cheating, the corresponding disciplinary action shall be given.

Chapter V Exemption from Repair and Listening

Sixteenth students with strong self-study ability and good academic performance, or who have studied a certain course through other means, can apply for exemption from the examination. After examination, those with excellent grades can be exempted from taking this course. The results of exemption from examination are recorded in the grade book as the results of this course.

Courses such as ideological and political theory, physical education and health, military theory, college aesthetic education, comprehensive intersection, practice and graduation thesis (design) cannot be exempted.

Seventeenth students really need to take elective courses for reasons such as re-examination, but the class hours are partially conflicting (generally not more than half of the total class hours), and they can apply for exemption from one of the conflicting courses. To apply for free listening, you should fill in the Application Form for Undergraduate Free Listening Course, and go to the teaching service center for free listening after the consent of the teacher, the starting school (department) and the Academic Affairs Office. Students who are allowed to be exempted from listening must complete the homework and exams of the course as required in order to get the results of the course.

Chapter VI Changing Major to School

Eighteenth students should generally complete their studies in the accepted major. Under any of the following circumstances, you can apply for changing your major:

(1) A student who suffers from a certain disease after entering school and is diagnosed by the school hospital or the secondary hospital designated by the school cannot study in the original major, but can still study in other majors of the school;

(2) Students do have some special difficulties or non-personal reasons, so they cannot continue their studies without changing their major.

Article 19 When applying for changing majors, students should submit the Examination and Approval Form for the Change of Student Status of Beijing Normal University to their college (department), which will be signed by the competent leaders of the college (department) and the receiving college (department), submitted to the Academic Affairs Office for examination and approval, and approved by the principal in charge.

Twentieth any of the following circumstances, in principle, can not apply for major changes:

(1) change to a major;

(2) being determined as an orientation student when enrolling students;

(3) From junior college (higher vocational school) to undergraduate course;

(four) is out of school and keep the student status;

(five) meet the conditions of suspension;

(6) Art sports students.

Article 21 Schools may, with the consent of students, appropriately adjust the majors studied by students according to the development and changes of social talent demand.

Article 22 In order to better arouse students' learning enthusiasm and strengthen teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, the school provides students who do have expertise and can give full play to their expertise after changing majors with a second chance to choose their major. The application for the second choice of major shall be handled in accordance with the Administrative Measures for the Second Choice of Major for Undergraduate Students of Beijing Normal University.

Twenty-third students' course scores before changing majors are all recorded in the score file, and the corresponding course categories are determined or converted by the transferred school (department) according to the professional teaching plan and the relevant regulations of the school.

Twenty-fourth students transfer, according to the relevant provisions of the Ministry of education.

Chapter VII Suspension and Resumption of School

Twenty-fifth students should, in principle, complete their studies continuously. Those who need to drop out of school or cannot adhere to normal study for special reasons may apply for dropping out of school.

Twenty-sixth students should drop out of school in any of the following circumstances:

(1) Being diagnosed by a secondary hospital designated by the school due to injury, and needing to take a break from school for treatment for more than two months within one semester;

(two) a semester leave accumulated more than one month;

(3) I have applied for suspension of academic qualification;

(4) For other reasons, the school thinks it is necessary to suspend scholars.

Twenty-seventh students should submit the "Beijing Normal University Student Status Change Application Form" to the school (department); The opinions shall be signed by the competent leaders of the college (department), reported to the Department of Political Affairs for review, approved by the principal in charge, and the Department of Political Affairs shall issue a certificate of suspension. Students are not allowed to suspend their studies until they receive the certificate of suspension.

Twenty-eighth suspension of school is based on the semester, and one application does not exceed one academic year, and the maximum suspension is two times, and the cumulative suspension is not more than two years. Suspension time is not included in the number of years of study in school, and the school retains its student status during suspension.

Students who apply to join the China People's Liberation Army (including the Chinese People's Armed Police Force) can retain their school status until one year after retirement.

Twenty-ninth issues related to students' suspension from school shall be handled in accordance with the following provisions:

(a) students who have dropped out of school must go through the formalities of dropping out of school as scheduled according to the regulations;

(two) students do not enjoy the treatment of students during the period of suspension;

(3) The medical expenses and other expenses of students who have dropped out of school due to illness shall be handled according to the relevant regulations of the school;

(four) students who drop out of school take care of their round-trip travel expenses.

Thirtieth dropouts should return to school in accordance with the following provisions:

(1) Upon the expiration of the suspension period, students should submit the Examination and Approval Form for the Change of Student Status of Beijing Normal University to the school (department) in the first week of school; After being signed by the competent leaders of the college (department) and stamped with the official seal, it shall be reported to the Political and Educational Affairs Office for review, and can be resumed only after being approved by the principal in charge.

(2) Students who have dropped out of school due to injury or illness shall submit the Application Form for Change of Student Status of Beijing Normal University to their respective colleges (departments), and attach the diagnosis certificate issued by the secondary hospital designated by the school that the disease has recovered and they can study normally; After being signed by the competent leaders of the college (department), it shall be reported to the Political and Educational Affairs Office, and those who meet the entrance examination standards after being audited by the Political and Educational Affairs Office shall be reported to the principal in charge for approval.

(three) students during the period of suspension, such as illegal and criminal acts, according to the "Beijing Normal University student disciplinary measures";

(four) re scholars, according to their courses, transferred to the corresponding grade of the original major.

Chapter VIII Retention, Demotion and Dropout

Thirty-first poor academic performance, since the third semester, the average academic performance of this major has been lower than 17 credits per semester, and students can apply for demotion.

Students who apply for demotion should submit the Examination and Approval Form for the Change of Student Status of Beijing Normal University to their college (department), which will be signed by the competent leader of the college (department) and then submitted to the Academic Affairs Office for review and approved by the competent principal.

Students can only be demoted once during their studies at school. You cannot apply for demotion after graduation.

Thirty-second one of the following circumstances, should drop out of school:

(a) since the fifth semester, the average academic performance of the major is lower than 15 credits per semester;

(two) after the expiration of the suspension or retention of school, the formalities for resumption of school have not been completed, and the overdue period is more than two weeks (inclusive);

(three) to apply for resumption of school, the school review is not qualified;

(4) those who are diagnosed with illness or accidental disability and cannot continue their studies in the second-class first-class hospital designated by the school;

(5) Those who have not gone through the leave formalities or left school without approval for two consecutive weeks (inclusive) and have not participated in the teaching activities stipulated by the school;

(6) Failing to register for more than two weeks without justifiable reasons;

(7) I apply for withdrawal.

Article 33 The college (department) to which the student belongs shall fill out the Application Form for Change of Student Status of Beijing Normal University, and after the leaders of the college (department) put forward preliminary opinions, they shall report it to the Academic Affairs Office and the Student Affairs Office for review, and the decision shall be made by the president's meeting.

For students who have dropped out of school, the school will issue a decision to drop out of school and serve it to them. If it cannot be delivered, it can be delivered by lien, by mail or by announcement in the school. The results of the treatment of students who dropped out of school were reported to the Beijing Municipal Education Commission for the record.

Students who have objections to the handling of dropping out of school may submit a written complaint to the school student complaint handling committee, and the complaint procedure shall be handled with reference to the Measures for the Administration of Student Complaints of Beijing Normal University.

Thirty-fourth issues related to students' suspension from school shall be handled in accordance with the following provisions:

(a) students who drop out of school should go through the formalities and leave school within the time specified in the notice (usually two weeks). Files and accounts are returned to their domicile;

(two) due to mental illness, accidental disability or other serious diseases, the parents or guardians are responsible for taking back.

Chapter IX Graduation, Graduation and Breaking the Law

Thirty-fifth students who have completed the courses specified in the education and teaching plan within the study period specified by the school and met the graduation requirements of this major are allowed to graduate, and the school will issue graduation certificates. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Granting of Bachelor's Degree to Undergraduate Graduates of Colleges and Universities of Beijing Normal University, a bachelor's degree will be awarded.

Article 36 If a student fails to meet the graduation requirements within the study period specified by the school, but his academic achievements reach more than 90% (inclusive) of the total academic achievements specified in the teaching plan of this major, the school will issue a certificate of completion.

After graduation, students can continue to complete their studies in two years in the form of auditing. Those who meet the graduation requirements may apply for renewal of their graduation certificates. The graduation time indicated on the graduation certificate shall be filled in according to the date of issuance. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Detailed Rules for the Implementation of the Granting of Bachelor's Degree to Undergraduate Graduates of Colleges and Universities of Beijing Normal University, a bachelor's degree certificate will be awarded. If you don't apply for renewal of your diploma within two years, the school will no longer accept it.

Thirty-seventh students who have studied for more than one academic year (inclusive) and have achieved academic results less than 90% of the total academic results stipulated in the teaching plan of this major will be awarded an associate degree certificate.

Article 38 If you minor in other professional courses across disciplines within the study period stipulated by the school and meet the minor requirements of this major and the graduation requirements of this major, you will be issued a minor certificate of Beijing Normal University; If you have completed the interdisciplinary double bachelor's degree course within the study period specified by the school, reached the requirements of the double bachelor's degree teaching plan, and the major has reached the bachelor's degree standard, Beijing Normal University will issue a double bachelor's degree certificate. Students who fail to meet the requirements of minor and double bachelor's degree teaching plan within the study period stipulated by the school are allowed to continue to study the remaining courses in the form of auditing within two years after graduation. After meeting the requirements of minor or double bachelor's degree, you can apply for a replacement of minor certificate or double bachelor's degree certificate of Beijing Normal University.

Thirty-ninth schools will report the graduation (completion) certificate information issued every year to the Beijing Municipal Education Commission for examination and registration.

Fortieth in violation of the provisions of the state enrollment, the school will not issue academic certificates and degree certificates. The academic certificates and degree certificates that have been issued shall be recovered by the school, and those that cannot be recovered shall be declared invalid and reported to the Beijing Municipal Education Commission for the record.

Forty-first graduation, graduation, bachelor's degree or degree certificate is lost or damaged. Upon the application of the students themselves, the corresponding certificates will be issued after verification by the school archives. This certificate has the same effect as the original certificate.

Chapter X Supplementary Provisions

Article 42 These Provisions are applicable to full-time undergraduates, and shall be implemented as of September 1 2006. Where other provisions are inconsistent with these Provisions, these Provisions shall prevail.

Article 43 The Academic Affairs Office and Student Affairs Office of Beijing Normal University shall be responsible for the interpretation of these Provisions.
