In order to further arouse students' learning enthusiasm, make spare students make full use of the advantages of multidisciplinary education resources in our comprehensive university, learn more knowledge and skills, and improve their employment competitiveness, the school decided to implement the major and minor system and the dual-degree system. In order to standardize the management of minor/double degree, combined with the reality of our school, this management method is formulated.

Undergraduate students who have spare time to study, have special interest in other majors and have a certain learning foundation can study a minor or double degree (hereinafter referred to as "minor/double degree") while studying this major (that is, the major of student registration); You can also take courses of another major through multiple courses while studying this major. This situation shall be handled in accordance with Article 6 of the chapter "Certification" of these Measures.

First, the training plan

1. Institutions offering minor/double-degree majors should formulate minor/double-degree major training plans according to the characteristics and requirements of their majors and compare them with undergraduate training plans of their majors, and report them to the Academic Affairs Office for approval before implementation.

2. The minor/double degree is managed by the credit system, with a schooling period of 2 years (4 semesters).

3. The minor course should be 6- 10, with 30 credits.

4. Double degree should add three or five courses on the basis of minor, with a total of 45 credits.

Second, the professional declaration procedures

1. Minor/double degree major must be approved by the school. Before the third week of the second semester of each academic year, the college will report the teaching plan, admission quota, professional orientation and registration requirements of minor/double-degree majors to the Academic Affairs Office for approval.

2. Students submit their minor/double-degree applications online as required. After qualification examination according to the registration conditions, report to the Academic Affairs Office for approval.

3. The school decided to set up a major according to the registration. If the number of applicants does not reach 40, it will not be offered in principle. Students who choose these majors can choose other majors.

4. Students who pass the qualification examination of colleges and universities and the school approval will be granted the status of minor/double-degree major.

Third, the registration conditions

Students who meet the following conditions can apply for minor/double degree major.

1, ordinary full-time undergraduate students in the first and second grades;

2. Professional rehabilitation credits shall not exceed 10 credits within one school year and the average grade point is not less than 2.0;

3. Meet the registration conditions for setting up a major.

Students can only take one minor/double-degree major, and they must cross colleges and majors (subject to the latest catalogue of undergraduate majors in ordinary colleges and universities promulgated by the Ministry of Education).

Fourth, the teaching arrangement.

1. Before the tenth week of each semester, the college will report the "Minor/Double Degree Program" for the next semester. After being audited and announced by the school, students can choose courses online and pay fees according to the time stipulated by the school.

2. Minors/double-degree majors are taught separately in principle. In the next semester, when the number of students decreases and the number of majors is insufficient 15, no separate lectures will be given. You can take professional courses, online courses, self-study or "taking exams instead of studying" and other forms of classes.

3. The teaching time of individual classes is generally arranged on weekends or winter and summer vacations.

4. The course credits taken by students in the professional teaching plan and the course credits taken outside the school cannot be counted as minor/double-degree courses.

Five, student status and performance management

1, minor/double-degree daily teaching management is mainly taken charge of when the college is established. The college should formulate detailed management rules and arrange special personnel to take charge of this work.

2. To start a college, it is necessary to establish the student status files of minor/double-degree students, manage the student status and achievements in accordance with the relevant regulations of the school and these measures, and communicate with the college where the students study in a timely manner.

3. The scores of minor/double-degree courses are entered into the educational administration system by teachers, printed in duplicate, and submitted to the Kaikao College.

4. Under any of the following circumstances, the school will terminate its minor/double-degree major and cancel its minor/double-degree status: those who have obtained less than 30 credits in this major within one academic year; The credits of minor/double-degree courses reach10 within one academic year; Apply for termination of minor/double major.

5. To set up a college, students' learning situation should be cleaned up every semester, and students who need to register as students should be reported to the Academic Affairs Office.

6. To apply for termination of minor/double-degree study, you must fill in the Application Form for Change of Undergraduate Minor/Double-degree Student Status of Xiangtan University and report it to the school for approval.

7. For students who have completed their studies or terminated their studies halfway, the college should submit the results in quintuplicate to the Academic Affairs Office (one for the Academic Affairs Office, the archives room, the college where the students are located, the students' personal files and the students themselves).

Issuing the certificate of intransitive verbs

1. The qualifications for issuing students' minor certificates or awarding double degrees shall be examined by the running institutions.

2. Students who minor in this major have obtained the credits specified in the teaching plan of the minor major, and have reached the graduation requirements of this major, and are issued with a minor certificate of Xiangtan University; Otherwise, only minor professional transcripts will be issued.

3. Students who study double-degree majors have obtained the credits stipulated in the teaching plan of double-degree majors, and if they meet the conditions for granting bachelor's degrees in professional majors, they will be awarded double degrees in Xiangtan University; Otherwise, only double-degree professional transcripts will be issued.

4. Students who study double-degree major but fail to get double-degree can apply for minor. Those who have obtained the credits stipulated in the teaching plan of minor major and met the graduation requirements of minor major will be awarded the minor certificate of Xiangtan University.

5. Students who have obtained the graduation qualification of this major but have not completed the minor/double-degree courses can apply for making up or repeating the missing courses in the form of auditing within the longest period allowed by this major. During the auditing period, students will be provided with accommodation and safety.

6. Students who meet the graduation conditions and degree-granting conditions of this major may apply to the Academic Affairs Office, and those who meet the graduation conditions and degree-granting conditions of another major may independently choose one major to issue graduation certificates and degree certificates, and another major to issue double-degree certificates. Students who do not meet the conditions for graduation and degree conferring in this major, even if they meet the conditions for graduation and degree conferring in other majors, cannot issue graduation certificates or (double) degree certificates.

7. According to the relevant national regulations, the minor/double degree certificate cannot be registered electronically. After students graduate, the school can provide the society with the verification and inquiry of academic degrees.

Seven. others

1, new graduates generally issue registration cards according to their majors. If you need to issue the registration card according to the minor/double-degree major, you must submit a written application to the college where the major is located and report it to the school admissions and employment guidance office for approval.

2. Minors/double degrees are charged according to credits, and the charging standard is 80 yuan per credit (if there is any change, it must be approved by the price department). Students pay in real time according to the results of elective courses every semester. If they drop out of school, the tuition fees paid will not be refunded.

Eight. supplementary terms

1. These Measures shall come into force as of the date of issuance, and the original Measures for the Administration of Minor Major of Xiangtan University shall be abolished at the same time.

2. The Academic Affairs Office is responsible for the interpretation of these Measures.
