1956 The former Ministry of Urban Construction established ten secondary specialized schools throughout the country. In Jinan, called Jinan Urban Construction Engineering School, there are two majors: industrial and civil architecture and housing sanitation equipment. The academic system is three years, and the number of students is 1500. This is the origin of Shandong Jianzhu University.
1958 was handed over to the leadership of Shandong Urban Construction Bureau and renamed Jinan Architectural Engineering School.
In the same year, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college, managed by the Shandong provincial government and renamed Shandong Institute of Architecture, with a planned enrollment of 2,000 students.

From June 2003 to February 2003, Comrade served as Dean of Shandong Institute of Architecture and Engineering, and Comrade Xing no longer served as Dean of Shandong Institute of Architecture and Engineering.
On February 29th, 2005, 65438, Shandong Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture was renamed Shandong Jianzhu University. It marks the new development of Shandong Jianzhu University.
In 2006, Shandong Jianzhu University will celebrate its 50th anniversary.
