Linyi University is located in Linyi City, Shandong Province, a famous historical and cultural city, a city of trade and logistics, a city of waterfront ecology, a red tourist city and a national civilized city. It is a comprehensive university with distinctive characteristics and coordinated development of science, engineering, literature, economics, management, medicine, law, art and teaching. It is the first batch of high-level disciplines in Shandong Province and the first batch of universities supported by the construction of application-oriented undergraduate colleges in Shandong Province.

The school covers an area of about 6000 mu, with sub-campuses in Yishui and Feixian. The school building covers an area of110.4 million square meters, with total state-owned assets of 4.672 billion yuan, including total assets of teaching and research instruments and equipment of 544 million yuan.
