Northwest University Law School is one of the oldest law schools in modern legal education in China. Its predecessor was Shaanxi Law and Politics School, which was founded in 1907. 1953 after the major adjustment of colleges and universities in China, the law department of Northwest University is one of the four key comprehensive universities in China. From 1958, the Law Department was merged into the Northwest Branch of the Central Political and Legal Cadres to establish northwest university of politics and law.
65438-0987, the Law Department of Northwest University was restored and rebuilt, and the Law School was formally established in July 2002. In 2005, the first intellectual property institute in the western region was established and co-located with the law school. At present, Northwest University Law School (Intellectual Property College) has developed into one of the largest, most distinctive and influential law schools in the western region.
In the past five years, teachers and researchers of Northwest University Law School have presided over a total of 182 scientific research projects, including 68 national, provincial and ministerial projects and international cooperation projects. He has published more than 50 academic monographs and teaching materials, published more than 280 papers in authoritative and core journals, and won more than 80 outstanding scientific research achievement awards such as the fifth, sixth and seventh sessions of the People's Government of Shaanxi Province.
In addition, college teachers also actively participated in relevant legislation and participated in the discussion of state affairs, and successively participated in the drafting and demonstration of more than 300 laws and regulations, making outstanding contributions to national legislation, especially local legislation.
