Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, located in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, 27 kilometers away from the city center, is a 4F-class civil transport airport, one of the twelve major trunk airports in China, an international scheduled flight airport, a first-class airport open to the outside world and an alternate airport for international flights.

Construction background

Hangzhou Civil Transport Airport was formerly known as Hangzhou Jianqiao Airport. Due to the mixed use of military and civilian, 1993, provincial and municipal government departments decided to relocate and expand in different places. According to the international airport construction standards such as meteorology, topography and geology and the comprehensive strength of various places, Xiaoshan City (now Xiaoshan District) was determined.
