2. Xinjiang Finance College is a key university founded by the People's Government of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Its predecessor was 1950, a training course for cadres of Xinjiang provincial people's government; 1959 upgraded to Xinjiang Institute of Finance and Economics; 1962 transformed into Xinjiang Finance and Trade School; 1980 xinjiang university of finance was restored with the approval of the State Council. In 2000, xinjiang university of finance merged with Xinjiang Economic Management Cadre College and Xinjiang Finance and Taxation School to form a new xinjiang university of finance. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2007, it was renamed Xinjiang Finance College.
