Xiamen University (XMU for short) was founded in 192 1 year by Chen Jiageng, a famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader. It is the first university founded by overseas Chinese in the history of modern education in China, and also a high-level university under the national "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project". 20 17 Xiamen university was selected as a first-class university in the world.
