Xiamen Institute of Technology is a public undergraduate college in Fujian Province, which implements the management system of co-construction of provinces and cities and city management as the mainstay. Adhering to the school philosophy of "student-oriented, service industry" and the school motto of "understanding, accuracy and keeping pace with the times", the school actively explores the trinity of production and learning, school-enterprise cooperation and foreign cooperation to serve local development and build a high-level Universities of Applied Sciences that is "pro-business, open and international".

The school was founded in 198 1 (formerly Lujiang Vocational College). In 2004, it was upgraded with the approval of the Ministry of Education and renamed as "Xiamen Institute of Technology". 20 1 1 became the "excellent engineer education and training plan" of the Ministry of Education and the first batch of "national pilot universities for postgraduate education with special needs". 20 12 successfully passed the undergraduate teaching qualification assessment of the Ministry of Education. In 20 13, it was approved as "Key Construction University of Fujian Province". In 20/0/6, KLOC was selected as an application-oriented undergraduate university to develop engineering in the 13th Five-Year Plan (nationwide 100). In 20 17, it was awarded the first batch of model universities (99 in China) and "typical experience universities with characteristics of deepening innovation and entrepreneurship education reform in China" (66 in China) through the inspection and evaluation of undergraduate teaching work by the Ministry of Education. In 20 18, it was approved as a master's degree awarding unit, and was selected as a first-class discipline construction university and a demonstration application-oriented undergraduate university in Fujian province.
