The Graduate School of Sun Yat-sen University consists of Humanities College, Asia-Pacific College, International Business School, Foreign Languages College, Law School, Sociology and Anthropology College, Management College, Education College, Communication and Design College and International Chinese Language College.

Sun Yat-sen University was founded by Dr. Sun Yat-sen in 1924, and was originally named Guangdong University in 1926. It was renamed Sun Yat-sen University in memory of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Since its establishment 80 years ago, Mr. Wang's spirit has inspired generations of college students to keep climbing and climbing. Today, Sun Yat-sen University is a well-known comprehensive university in China. On September 10, 2000, the Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University was completed and put into use in Tangjiawan, Zhuhai, which greatly expanded the school space of Sun Yat-sen University and laid a solid foundation for its development in the new century. 200110/On October 26th, Sun Yat-sen University and Sun Yat-sen Medical University merged to form the new Sun Yat-sen University.

The school has four campuses with a total area of 6. 17 square kilometers, which are located on both sides of the Pearl River and the South China Sea. Guangzhou South Campus covers an area of 1. 17 square kilometers, North Campus covers an area of 0.39 square kilometers, Guangzhou East Campus covers an area of 1. 13 square kilometers and Zhuhai Campus covers an area of 3.48 square kilometers.
