1, hubei three gorges polytechnic was formerly Yichang Vocational and Technical College, and now its main campus is located at Stadium Road, east of the former Three Gorges University. In July 2002, with the approval of the Hubei Provincial People's Government, Yichang Vocational and Technical College was formed by the merger of Yichang Agricultural School, Yichang Electronic Industry School, Yichang Industrial School and Yichang Finance and Economics School.

The Three Gorges University and Yichang Municipal Government exchanged land and sold the former East Campus of Three Gorges University to Yichang City. Yichang Vocational and Technical College moved to Stadium Road and changed its name to hubei three gorges polytechnic, which belongs to higher vocational colleges. Three Gorges University and Yichang Municipal Government are two independent schools.

2. Vocational and Technical College of Three Gorges University, formerly known as Gezhouba Staff University, was formally established on February 22, 2000 with the approval of Hubei Provincial Department of Education. It is a secondary college of Three Gorges University and belongs to higher vocational and technical education.
