As of July 8, 2023, the Notice on Amending the Regulations on Military Training for Students in Tsinghua University pointed out that military training for students is a compulsory course for undergraduates in Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macao, so Taiwan Province students are not allowed to participate in military training in Tsinghua. Tsinghua University (Tsinghua for short) is located in Haidian District, and is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC).
