What was the original name of Donghua University?
Donghua University was originally named China Textile University. Founded in 195 1, the school was named East China Textile Vocational and Technical College, which was formed by the merger of textile departments of East China, Central South China and Southwest China universities such as the Textile Department of Jiaotong University. 1985 was renamed China Textile University, and 1999 was renamed Donghua University. Donghua University, located in Shanghai, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), a national "world-class discipline construction university" and "21/project".
