Tomsk Polytechnic University, founded in 1896, is the technical research institute of Emperor Nicholas II of Tomsk. The first technical higher education institution in Russia and Asia, led by Professor Efim Zubashev, laid the foundation for developing TPU as the best tradition of a large Siberian education and research center.

The Tomsk Institute of Technology (TTI) ensures the education and training of high-quality engineers and strengthens the industry and economy of Siberia, the Far East and CIS countries (Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, etc.). TTI has established excellent schools in the fields of chemistry, mechanical engineering and materials science, physics and mathematics, power and power engineering, mining and geology, architecture and architecture.

VA Obruchev and MA Usov, researchers and graduates of the Institute of Miners and Geology, played a key role in the development of oil, coal and metallurgical industries in the eastern region. Among the 4000 graduates of Siberian Mining Geology School/KLOC-0, more than 350 have discovered ore fields, among which more than 50 have won Lenin and the government award, 15 have been awarded the titles of academician and member journalist of the Soviet Academy of Sciences (Russian Academy of Sciences), more than 50 have obtained doctoral degrees and 800 have obtained scientific investigations. Researchers and graduates of the Institute actively participated in the design, construction and commissioning of major industrial enterprises in Urals, Far East and Siberia (Kuznetsk Metallurgical Plant, Novosibirsk Mine, Kuzbas Mine and Mine).

1925 TTI decree of Siberian Revolutionary Committee was renamed Siberian Institute of Technology, and 1934 was reorganized into Tomsk Industrial Research Institute.

As a center of research, education, methods and engineering, an important step of university development is related to the name of Professor AA Vorobiev. In 1944, President Victor Wiki may grant the status of Polytechnic. Tomsk Institute of Technology (TPI) developed new research fields to meet the demand at that time: radio engineering, electronics and automation, nuclear power engineering, cybernetics and computer engineering, high-pressure engineering, directional drilling engineering and technology, molecular physics, plasma physical chemistry and so on.

In the 1960s, the Institute developed a unique research infrastructure to promote these research fields: the synchrotron "Sirious" (1.5 GeV) of the four major institutes in the Soviet Union (Institute of Nuclear Power, Institute of High Voltage, Institute of Automation and Electrical Engineering and Institute of Nondestructive Testing) is the only educational and research reactor outside the Urals Mountains. At the same time, TPI is making great contributions to space exploration and research. TPI researchers participated in the production of electronic defect mirrors for monitoring special rocket technology projects.

In the process of national democratic transformation and transition to market economy, Tomsk Institute of Technology was led by Professor Yuri Pocol-Kov. On this basis, the new concept of university reform and development under social and economic conditions is established.

According to the decree of the government of the Russian Federation, Russia is one of the first universities in Russia to be certified as a technical university. Since 199 1, Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) has been developing according to the five-year comprehensive development plan (CDP). CDP in Tomsk Polytechnic University has become one of the most important educational reforms approved and supported by the Russian government. CDP is the prediction of university development, the determination of goals, the realization methods and necessary resources, as well as the strategic action plan aimed at achieving the established goals. 199 1- 1995 The first TPU CDP ensured the background of university transformation, university development, expert training and advanced engineering technology from polytechnic to polytechnic. 1996-2000 The second TPU CDP provided the dynamic development of universities during the formation of national market economy and the transition to post-industrial society. The third TPU CDP from 200 1 to 2005 promoted the integration of universities into international research and education.

During the implementation of the fourth TPU CDP(2006-20 10), innovative research, high-tech development and postgraduate education and training were particularly emphasized, which can ensure the positive changes of Russian economy and improve its competitiveness in the world.

In 2007, under the framework of the national key project "Education", universities became the winners of the innovative education project competition. The goal of TPU innovation plan includes training world-class elite experts and professional teams in priority fields of science, engineering and technology. In 2007-2008, about 654.38 billion rubles were allocated and implemented. Within two years after implementing the innovative education plan, TPU purchased 6.6 million sets of modern professional facilities, ensured a large-scale transition to authorized software, modernized 155 classrooms, developed 678 innovative educational resources, and provided professional development for 1043 employees, including 393 foreign universities and research centers.

In 2009, Tomsk Polytechnic University won the first round of the National Research University (NRU) competition organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Radio Frequency Education and Science has allocated 654.38+800 million rubles to implement the university development plan until 2065.438+08.

The fifth comprehensive development plan of 20 1 1-20 15 is based on the TPU development plan of 2011in 2009. The university CDP consists of seven modules, which define the activities of education, research, finance, economy and administration. The innovative development plan (CDP) of TPU Structure Department is an integral part of CDP. CDP, as the basic document of a university, contains the internal and external challenges faced by the university.
