The Music and Dance College of Huaqiao University is headed by Liang Ning, a famous mezzo-soprano singer in China, and Mr. Yang Hongji, an artist, is honorary president.

At present, there are 32 full-time teachers, including 5 professors and 5 associate professors, most of whom have doctoral or master's degrees, and about 1/3 are returned teachers. National first-class actors Huang Doudou and Yongzheng, singer Liu Yanyan, erhu player Yang Jiqiang, composer Guo Zurong and China's first postdoctoral doctor of music Liu Xiaojing are all part-time professors.
