Northeast Li Dian University is located in Jilin City, Jilin Province, and is a key university in Jilin Province. It was selected as the first batch of key universities in the "Excellent Engineer Education and Training Plan" and "Basic Capacity Building Project of Central and Western Universities" of the Ministry of Education. The school is the first batch of national engineering practice education center construction units.
