Shenyang University of Technology is a multi-disciplinary research and application-oriented university and one of the key universities in Liaoning Province. Founded in 1949, the school was originally a staff university founded by the Northeast People's Government in Shenyang. After Northeast Institute of Technology, Northeast Institute of Technology and other historical periods, it was transferred to Liaoning Province by the former Ministry of Metallurgy in 1998, and was renamed Shenyang University of Technology with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2002.
