"2 1 1 university" is also called "2 1 1 project", which means to build about 100 institutions of higher learning and a number of key disciplines for the 2 1 century. This is a cross-century strategic project for China to implement the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education, and it is also the largest key construction project in the field of higher education since the founding of New China.
