Guangdong Baiyun University, located in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, is a private full-time undergraduate college in Guangdong Province approved by the Ministry of Education. It is the initiator and director of China-Universities of Applied Sciences Alliance, the vice-chairman of the National Alliance of Newly-built Undergraduate Colleges and Universities, the "Hundred Schools Project" project institution of the Ministry of Education, the pilot universities for the transformation of ordinary undergraduate courses in Guangdong Province, the third batch of pilot universities for the construction of "easy courses" in Guangdong Province, and a member of CDIO Engineering Education Alliance.
The college was formerly Guangzhou Baiyun Applied Technology School, founded in 1989, and later renamed Guangdong Baiyun Vocational and Technical College. In 2005, the college was upgraded to an undergraduate course and renamed Guangdong Baiyun College.
