Dali University is a comprehensive university with the characteristics of medicine and national culture, interdisciplinary integration and multi-level coordinated development. It is the earliest university in Yunnan Province established in a non-capital city with the right to award master's degrees, and it is also the first provincial-level new doctoral degree awarding unit. The school is located in Dali The campus covers an area of more than 2,300 mu, with two campuses, the ancient city and Shimonoseki.
The school has 17 teaching colleges and 10 affiliated hospitals. At present, there are 69 undergraduate majors, 6 master's degree authorization points in first-class disciplines, 43 master's degree authorization points in two disciplines and 7 master's degree authorization points.
