Xi 'an University of Science and Technology is jointly established by the Emergency Management Department and the Shaanxi Provincial People's Government, implemented by the Ministry of Education's outstanding engineer education and training plan, the national high-level university public graduate program, the implementation of key disciplines with national characteristics, the implementation of the national central and western universities' basic capacity building project, the construction of high-level universities in Shaanxi Province, and the construction of "first-class universities and first-class disciplines" in Shaanxi Province.
The school has a graduate school and 20 colleges (departments). It has national key disciplines of safety technology and engineering, 8 provincial dominant (key) disciplines, covering 46 two disciplines. There are 18 national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, 8 provincial first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, 8 national specialties, 1/0 provincial specialties, 1 national quality courses,1national quality resources * * courses and 67 provincial quality resources *. The school has cooperated with nearly 60 universities in more than 20 countries and regions. It is also one of the founders of the project "1+2+ 1 China-US talent training plan", and has jointly launched two Sino-foreign cooperative education projects with university of tasmania and Macquarie University. Undergraduate and doctoral exchange programs with universities such as Russia and Malaysia, and 42 short-term exchange programs with Cambridge University.
