Zhuzhou railway electric machinery school

195 1 Zhuzhou Railway Factory Technical School was established, which was organized by China Southern Locomotive and Rolling Stock Industry Group Corporation (a large state-owned backbone enterprise) and its teaching business was managed by Hunan Provincial Education Department.

1978, Zhuzhou Railway Factory Technical School was renamed Tianxin Railway Technical School of the Ministry of Railways;

1983, Tianxin Railway Technical School of the Ministry of Railways was renamed Zhuzhou Railway Motor School;

1999, Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Factory Vocational School was merged into Zhuzhou Railway Motor School.

Ministry of Railways Industrial Workers College

1988, Beijing 27th Locomotive Works Staff University, Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Works Staff University, Yongji Electric Locomotive Works Staff University, Qishuyan Locomotive Works Staff University, Changchun Locomotive Works Staff University, Changchun Bus Works Staff University, Sifang Locomotive Works Staff University and Shenyang Locomotive Works Staff University merged to form the Ministry of Railways Industrial Staff University;

Merge and establish schools

In 2000, the University of Industrial Workers of the Ministry of Railways merged with Zhuzhou Railway Motor School and was upgraded to Hunan Railway Vocational and Technical College.

In April 2004, the college passed the ISO900 1:2000: 2000 quality management system certification.

In June, 2004, the college was rated as an "excellent" school by the Ministry of Education.

From June 5, 2006 to February, 2006, College became one of the first batch of 28 national demonstration higher vocational colleges in China.
