James Kona is a registered landscape architect and urban designer in the United States, and also the founder and president of James Corner Field Operations. He is also the director and professor of the Landscape Department of the University of Pennsylvania. James Kona graduated from Manchester City University with a bachelor's degree 1983. 1986, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, USA with a double master's degree in landscape architecture and urban design.

The main works include: new york high line park, Freshkills Park on Staten Island, Shelby Farm Park in Memphis, Race Street Pier Park in Philadelphia, MGM downtown in Las Vegas, conceptual design of Shenzhen Qianhai City, central waterfront space in Seattle, Chicago Navy Pier, Santa Monica downtown park and landscape design of South Park of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

Olmsted Frederick Law Olmsted, the Father of American Landscape Design (1822- 1903)

America/KLOC-The most famous planner and landscape architect in the second half of the 9th century, his design covers a wide range, from parks, urban planning and land subdivision to public squares, semi-public buildings and private industries, which has exerted an indelible influence on urban planning and landscape architecture in the United States. He is regarded as the founder of American landscape architecture and the most important park designer in America. In 2006, olmsted was named as one of the 100 people who influenced the United States by the authoritative American periodical Atlantic Monthly (ranked 49th).
