Generally speaking, British master's preparatory courses can be divided into four categories: the first category: general preparatory courses.

General preparatory course refers to an independent master's preparatory course offered by a university and is not affiliated with an education group. Because the institutions offering this kind of preparatory courses are generally ranked higher in the UK and have strong teaching and research capabilities, they have been recognized by many other schools, including the top five schools in the UK. As long as the results after the completion of the course meet the requirements of the admission scores of British universities, you can apply. This kind of preparatory college is the most difficult to apply for in all types of preparatory colleges, so the requirements for applicants are also the highest. Applicants are generally required to obtain a bachelor's degree. However, students studying in such preparatory schools are also the most likely to enter prestigious schools for master's degrees. Therefore, despite the difficulty in applying, many students still insist on applying for the general preparatory course every year.

The second category: group preparatory course

British universities authorize third-party institutions to offer preparatory courses and language courses, and these institutions import qualified preparatory students to universities every year to study for master's degrees. There are many groups offering preparatory courses in Britain, such as Kaplan Education Group, StudyGroup Education Group, INTO Education Group, NCUK University Alliance and so on.

The third category: the preparatory course established by the school itself.

Our preparatory courses are only for our applications, such as Bristol University, Birmingham University, Aston University, Reading University, Royal holloway University, King Smith College, Essex University, Queen Mary College of London University, Leeds University and so on.

The fourth category: directional entrustment

This kind of preparatory course is entrusted by the university to the college below the college. After finishing the preparatory course for master's degree, qualified students can enter the corresponding universities to pursue master's courses. However, the recognition of other institutions is not very high. For example, York University entrusts York College, Edinburgh University entrusts Stevenson College and Loughborough University entrusts Loughborough College.

The above four types of preparatory courses require students to study abroad after graduation from university. If you want to go to the University of Leeds in China for a master's degree, you can learn about the "Ivy League" master's degree in the UK, and you can officially be exempted from IELTS and get the priority places in the University of Leeds plan.
