Xi University of Technology is a high-level university jointly built by the central and local governments and built by Shaanxi Province. It is also an institution that implements the national plan to revitalize higher education in the central and western regions-the basic capacity building project of colleges and universities in the central and western regions. The school is one of the important training bases and scientific research centers for senior professionals in water conservancy and hydropower, equipment manufacturing, printing and packaging industries in northwest China.

The school has three campuses, Jinhua, Qujiang and Lianhu, 1 University Science Park. There are more than 8,000 full-time undergraduates/KLOC-0, and nearly 9,000 doctoral and master students. There are more than 2,660 faculty members, including more than 0/000 with senior professional title/kloc. At present, there are 17 colleges and 1 teaching departments, and 69 undergraduate majors, of which 10 majors are national-level specialty construction sites, 16 majors have passed the professional certification (assessment) of engineering education, 25 majors have been selected as national first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites, and 38 majors have been selected as Shaanxi first-class undergraduate specialty construction sites. There are 2 undergraduate experimental teaching centers1,including 3 national experimental teaching demonstration centers, 8 provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers1,and 3 provincial virtual simulation experimental teaching centers.
