Heilongjiang University of Science and Technology is located in the north of Harbin, belonging to Songbei District. It is separated from the main city by a Songhua River. There is also an island in the middle of the river. We call it Dog Island, and its official name should be Alekin Island. At the southernmost tip of the island, you can see the Net Red Bridge in Harbin, as well as the famous scenic spots such as the Central Street and the Flood Control Memorial Tower, so the geographical location of the school is not far from the city center. However, because there is only one Songpu Bridge across the Songhua River near the south of the Yangtze River, the buses crossing the bridge on holidays are not crowded.

The surrounding environment of the school is better than that of Guanjiang International Community, and everything else is average. The barbecue shop and repair shop opposite the gate are desolate, but after several years of renovation, the scenery is still considerable.
