I am a junior in Xiamen University.
If we simply consider the employment problem, it is a pity that Xiamen is indeed a second-tier city with few employment opportunities. When you need an internship, you can hardly see the internship in Xiamen from the major websites. However, most of the national high-quality internship opportunities are concentrated in individual first-tier cities (North, Guangzhou and Shenzhen).
So, to be honest, employment opportunities are really a shortcoming of my XMU.
However, Xiamen University can satisfy all your imaginations about a university! ! ! It's all imagination ! ! It's all imagination ! !
What's more, employment opportunities are mainly won by themselves. Many outstanding students I know in Xiamen University are actually not worried about internships and work problems, because as long as they have the strength, even if they don't have internships in Xiamen, they can go to first-tier cities such as Beijing, Guangzhou and Shenzhen to find them! ! ! For example, I know that some students went to Beijing to find internships with Baidu, Tencent and Meitu Xiu Xiu (Meitu Xiu Xiu and 4399 are local enterprises in Xiamen) ~ \ (≧ ρ ≦)/~) Of course, this will also involve some costs (travel expenses and rent). However, if you give up four years of study and life in the most beautiful university in China just to save these small costs of finding a job, it really is. . Moreover, internship is one thing, and campus recruitment is another. At the beginning of the senior year, a large number of companies in our school will hold seminars in person to snatch outstanding students. After all, we are "strong in the South" ~ \ (≧▽≦)/~
There is only one 985 in Fujian, and there is a Zhejiang University in Jiangxi next door, but Zhejiang University belongs to the Yangtze River Delta. Guangdong has such a large population that only Zhong Da University and South China University of Technology are involved, so XMU is undoubtedly the only place for major companies to recruit in autumn. I will be a senior soon. I'm still a little excited to think about it ~ \ (≧ ρ ≦)/~
