This major is a national liberal arts talent training and scientific research base established by the Ministry of Education in our school, aiming at cultivating theoretical thinking talents. After graduation, students are engaged in the teaching and research of basic subjects of liberal arts. The college selects experts and scholars with expertise to undertake professional courses and is equipped with highly educated tutors. This major implements the integrated teaching mode of "undergraduate-master-doctor". Students with excellent undergraduate academic performance can be directly recommended for postgraduate study after graduation. Nine master's programs and eight doctoral programs in China Language and Literature provide convenience for students to study directly.

This major is directly led by the Ministry of Education, funded and invested by the Municipal Education Commission and the school, with advanced teaching equipment.
