Dai Yongnian,/kloc-0, born in February, 1929, is a professor in the Department of Metallurgy, School of Metallurgy and Energy Engineering, an academician and doctoral supervisor of China Academy of Engineering, an academician of China Academy of Engineering, a professor and doctoral supervisor of Kunming University of Science and Technology, director of the Institute of Vacuum Metallurgy and Materials, a member of TMS Society of the United States, and director of the academic committee of Yunnan Key Laboratory of Vacuum Metallurgy of Nonferrous Metals. 1947-195 1 studied in the Department of Mining and Metallurgy of Yunnan University,1951-kloc-0/954 taught in the Department of Mining of Yunnan University,1954-/kloc-.

Academician Dai Yongnian is mainly engaged in non-ferrous metallurgy, vacuum metallurgy, non-ferrous new materials, batteries and battery materials. More than 50 doctoral students, master students and a large number of undergraduates have been trained, and dozens of research projects have been undertaken and completed, and more than 30 scientific research papers 100 have been published, among which more than 30 have been included by SCI, EI and ISTP. Seven academic monographs were published, among which Vacuum Metallurgy of Nonferrous Metals was listed as the national scientific and technological works publishing fund project, and Vacuum Metallurgy won the second prize of national excellent scientific and technological books. Academician Dai Yongnian has successively won the honorary titles of "National May 1st Labor Medal", "National Advanced Scientific and Technological Worker in Colleges and Universities", "Model Worker in Yunnan Province" and "Outstanding Scientific and Technological Talents with Outstanding Contributions in Yunnan Province" and enjoyed special government allowances.
