Introduction to Xi Jiaotong University:
Xi 'an Jiaotong University, referred to as "Xi Jiaotong University", is located in Xi, Shaanxi Province. It is a comprehensive research-oriented national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, which is jointly established by the Ministry of Education, Shaanxi Province and the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense. It is a national "double-class" university, and one of the first universities to enter the national "2 1 1".
During the Seventh Five-Year Plan and the Eighth Five-Year Plan, key national construction universities were selected into the Everest Plan, the Strong Foundation Plan, the 20 1 1 plan, the excellent engineer education and training plan, the excellent doctor education and training plan, and the excellent legal talents education and training plan.
The member universities of China-Russia Comprehensive University Alliance, China-Russia Jiaotong University Alliance, CDIO Engineering Education Alliance and Silk Road University Alliance are the chairman unit of China Artificial Intelligence Education Association, the independent examination unit of degree authorization, and one of the three universities in China that offer juvenile classes.
1896 Sheng Xuanhuai founded Nanyang public school in Shanghai; At 192 1, it was named jiaotong university; 1956 jiaotong university moved to Xi' an; 1957 is divided into two parts, Xi 'an and Shanghai Jiaotong University, with unified leadership;
1959, Xi 'an part of Jiaotong University was named Xi 'an Jiaotong University; In 2000, xi Jiaotong University, Xi Medical University and Shaanxi University of Finance and Economics merged to form the new Xi Jiaotong University.
As of June, 2023, the four campuses of West China Innovation Port, Xingqing, Yanta, Qujiang and Science and Technology, cover an area of about 5,000 mu, and the total area of various buildings is about 4 million square meters. There are 32 colleges (departments and centers), 9 undergraduate colleges and 76 undergraduate enrollment majors;
There are 30 postdoctoral mobile stations, 36 first-class doctoral programs, 6 professional doctoral programs, 43 first-class master programs and 29 professional master programs. There are 6,635 faculty members and 54,760 students.
