St. Mark and St. John's University College (St. Mark University &; St. John's University of Plymouth is now known as St. Mark's and St. John's University College in Plymouth. It is an educational institution jointly established by St John's College in Battersea and St Mark's College in Chelsea, England. St John's College was founded in 1840. St. Kyle College was founded in 184 1. Based on these two colleges, St. Kyle and St. John's University have a history of nearly 175 years.

St. Kyle and St. John's University College was founded in 1923. Its predecessor can be traced back to Battersea College, which was founded in 1883, and 1973 moved to Plymouth, Devon, England.
In 2007, it was recognized by the state as having the right to independently recognize school degrees. Subsequently, the school became the famous St. Mark's and St. John's University College.
