Petersburg National Institute of Precision Mechanics and Optics (Technical University) is one of the oldest universities in Russia. Founded in 1900, the school is a five-year education school that trains qualified talents in precision machinery and optics. 1905 The first technician class graduated from Prince Nicholas Business School, majoring in precision machinery and watch manufacturing.
This school is one of the engineering schools in Russia and the pride of Russia. 1995, RUNNET (Russian University Network), a network center connecting more than 200 Russian universities, was built in the college. At the same time, it is also a node of the computer network of the Russian Federation University in St. Petersburg. The network named Run consists of Russian LAN and major scientific research and education networks. Run network connects our school's network system with international servers, physical service providers and the global Internet (via land and satellite transmission).
