The list of a+ disciplines in Southeast University is architecture, civil engineering, traffic engineering, biomedical engineering and art theory.

The School of Architecture of Southeast University, located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, formerly known as the Department of Architecture of National Central University, was founded in 1927 and is the birthplace of modern architecture in China. 1952, the national colleges and universities became the architecture department of Nanjing Institute of Technology after adjustment. 1988 was renamed the Department of Architecture of Southeast University with the school, and was established as the School of Architecture of Southeast University in 2003.

The college consists of three departments and four research institutes, namely, Department of Architecture, Department of Urban and Rural Planning, Department of Landscape Architecture, Institute of Architectural History and Theory, Institute of Architectural Science and Technology, Institute of Art and Design, and Institute of Architectural Operation and Application. The School of Architecture of Southeast University is the affiliated unit of the previous directors of the National College Architecture Professional Steering Committee.

School of Civil Engineering (SEU) of Southeast University is the second-level college of Southeast University, and it is one of the first national benchmark departments for party building.

School of Civil Engineering of Southeast University was founded by Mao Yisheng in 1923. 1997 the institute of civil engineering was established on the basis of the departments of civil engineering, environmental engineering and mechanical teaching and research of the former department of mathematical mechanics of jiaotong university.
