It is said that the history of running Hunan University can be traced back to Yuelu Academy more than 1000 years ago. It is located at the foot of Yuelu Mountain in Changsha City, Hunan Province, close to Xiangjiang River, and its geographical position is very superior. 1903 was transformed into Hunan higher education institutions, and 1926 was named Hunan University. In 2000, Hunan University of Finance and Economics merged into Hunan University. We know that the names of many 985/2 1 1 institutions were deducted from Chairman Mao Zedong's letter to the school, but then Chairman Mao personally mentioned Hunan University.

As we all know, Central South University was formed by the merger of Central South University of Technology, Hunan Medical University and Changsha Railway Institute in 2000. Hunan Medical University is also the famous Xiangya Medical College of Peking Union Medical College, South Xiangya.
