The school's predecessor was China Ceramic School, which was founded in 19 10. 19 12 was renamed as Li Raozhou Ceramic School in Jiangxi Province, and 19 15 was renamed as Class II Industrial School in Jiangxi Province. The following year, a branch school was established in Jingdezhen, and 1925 was renamed Jiangxi. 1934 moved to Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, and was named Jiujiang Ceramic Vocational School in Jiangxi Province. 1948 was upgraded to Jiangxi Ceramic Institute.
From 65438 to 0958, Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute was established on the basis of Jingdezhen Ceramic Art and Technology School, Jingdezhen Ceramic Workers Technical School and Jiangxi Industrial Technology School. 1999 China institute of light industry ceramics merged into the school. 20 16 was renamed Jingdezhen Ceramic University.
