Brief introduction of Jiangsu Ocean University:
1989, Huaihai Institute of Technology was established on the basis of Huaihai University. 1998 Jiangsu Salt School, Lianyungang Fisheries School and Lianyungang Chemical College, which have a history of more than 50 years, were merged into Huaihai Institute of Technology according to the overall deployment of the province's higher education system reform. It was renamed Jiangsu Ocean University on 20 19. Today, Jiangsu Ocean University has become a multidisciplinary university with marine characteristics in the eastern coastal areas of the country. The school has four campuses: Cangwu, Tongguan, Songsong and Xugou, covering an area of 2 184.87 mu and a school building area of 645,300 square meters. The school has 1.600 faculty members, and more than 2 1.200 full-time undergraduates and postgraduates.

At present, Jiangsu Ocean University has 6 first-class disciplines authorized by master's degree, 5 master's degree authorization points, 1 provincial dominant disciplines, 1 first-class disciplines, 7 first-class disciplines and provincial key construction disciplines.
