Donghua University, located in Shanghai, China, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), a national "2 1 1 project" and a world-class discipline construction university.

As of May 20 19, Donghua University has Songjiang Campus, Yan 'an Road Campus and Xinhua Road Campus, which are located in Songjiang District and Changning District respectively, covering an area of nearly 2,000 mu and a construction area of more than 780,000 square meters.

Founded in 195 1, the school was named East China Textile Vocational and Technical College, which was formed by the merger of textile departments of East China, Central South China and Southwest China universities such as the Textile Department of Jiaotong University. 1985 was renamed China Textile University, and 1999 was renamed Donghua University.

1930 Autumn, China Textile Printing and Dyeing Industry Tutorial School was reorganized into China Textile Printing and Dyeing Industry Institute, located at Gordon Road 1252.
