Institute of economics and management
Founded in 1984, it was then called the Department of Agricultural Economics, and 1994 was changed to the Department of Economy and Trade. In June 2002, the School of Economics and Management was established. In August 2005, the School of Economics and the School of Management were established respectively. In July 2008, according to the school's overall discipline adjustment, the School of Economics and the School of Management merged to form the School of Economics and Management.
The School of Economics and Management now has 1 master's degree program in agricultural economics and management science, and 2 master's degree programs in rural and regional development and agricultural science and technology organization and service. There are six undergraduate majors in agriculture and forestry economic management, accounting, financial management, logistics management, international economy and trade, and e-commerce, and five specialist majors in international trade, international economy and trade marketing, and e-commerce. There are 4058 full-time students, including 30 graduate students, 3546 college students and 482 Jade Bird students from Peking University. There are also 245 graduate students with professional degrees, which is the only secondary teaching college with the largest scale of more than 4,000 people in the school. Students in our college can obtain a master's or bachelor's degree in economic management if they meet the requirements when they graduate.
The agricultural economic management discipline affiliated to the college is a key construction discipline at the school level. There are five research institutes including Rural Economic Research Institute, Korea Industrial Economic Research Institute, Applied Statistics Research Institute, Agricultural Products Trade Research Institute and E-commerce Research Institute, and the Economic and Management Experimental Center of Qingdao Agricultural University invested by Shandong Provincial People's Government. There are seven laboratories including computerized accounting, manual simulation of accounting, ERP, e-commerce, international trade, securities investment and logistics, which provide superior conditions for the smooth development of teaching and scientific research.
The college has 9 teaching and research sections, including agricultural economics, accounting, financial management, enterprise management, logistics management, theoretical economics, international trade, international finance and e-commerce. There are 97 faculty members, including professors 13, associate professors 19, 45 lecturers and 9 teaching assistants. Among the 86 full-time teachers, there are 23 doctors (10 studying) and 55 masters. Teachers with master's degree or above account for more than 90% of the total number of full-time teachers.
In the past five years, the hospital has undertaken 3 scientific research projects, 27 teaching and research projects, published more than 70 monographs and teaching materials, and published 5 papers in important national economic and management journals. He won 74 provincial, municipal and university-level achievement awards, 2 first prizes for outstanding achievements in soft science in Shandong Province, 4 provincial experimental achievement awards in Shandong Province and 23 bureau-level scientific research achievement awards.
The college attaches great importance to international cooperation and exchanges, and has established academic exchanges and cooperative relations with universities and scientific research institutions in Japan, South Korea and other countries. In 2007, our school signed a cooperation agreement with Peking University to establish "Qingdao Agricultural University Beida Jade Bird Education Center" to train software engineers (IT). This is the only Beida Jade Bird Education Center located in a university in northern China.
Our college attaches great importance to the construction of teaching style and study style, actively creates a good learning environment, has an orderly teaching and a strong learning atmosphere, and has formed a good school spirit of "diligence, preciseness, realism and innovation". Over the years, the one-time pass rate of CET-4 ranks in the top three in the whole school.
Our college has also made outstanding achievements in party building, ideological and political work and spiritual civilization construction, and has been rated as the advanced collective of the school for many times. The General Party Branch and Student Party Branch have also been rated as "Advanced Party Branch" and "Advanced Student Party Branch" for many times, and the College won the "First Excellent Innovation Award for Ideological and Political Work in Qingdao Universities". In recent years, many students have won prizes in national and provincial competitions. Zhou Dongbao and other students participated in the "Trace Element Small Peptide Chelate" team, which won the grand prize in the seventh "Challenge Cup" Shandong University Students' Business Plan Competition, and then won the national bronze prize in the final, achieving a breakthrough in the national prize in the "Challenge Cup" Business Plan Competition. E-commerce majors Tomatoes, E-Hook and Good Luck China won the first prize in the East China Final, the second prize in the category of network marketing and planning, and the third prize in the third (2009-20 10) E-Road National University Student Online Business Innovation and Application Competition of China Construction Bank. The "Tomato" team advanced to the national finals and won the third prize. Five students, including Su Ting, won the first prize in the theme competition of network marketing and planning in East China, four students, including Ma Youqin, won the second prize in the theme competition of business model innovation, and four students, including Su, won the third prize in the innovation and application of online merchants. Song Xiaotian invented the "stacked quilt support molding machine" and obtained the patent right of utility model recognized by China National Intellectual Property Administration, and so on.
