According to the Pocket College Entrance Examination, there are two universities in Ya 'an, namely Sichuan Agricultural University and Ya 'an Vocational and Technical College.

Sichuan Agricultural University has a long history and rich resources. Formerly known as Sichuan Tongsheng Agricultural School, it was founded in 1906. Since then, it has passed through Sichuan Higher Agricultural School (19 12), Sichuan Public Agricultural College (19 14) and Sichuan University Agricultural College (190) 1956, the Agricultural College of Sichuan University moved to Ya 'an, the former capital of Xikang Province (1955 revoked) and was independently established as Sichuan Agricultural College. 1985 changed its name to Sichuan Agricultural University, 200 1 integrated Sichuan Forestry School. The school has three campuses: Ya 'an, Chengdu (Wenjiang) and Dujiangyan, with a total area of about 4,500 mu and a collection of books15.79 million volumes (pieces).

Ya 'an Vocational and Technical College is located in Ya 'an, which is known as "the hometown of pandas with abundant lungs", "the throat of western Sichuan", "the gateway to Tibet" and "the national corridor". It is a full-time college approved by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government. The college has a history of 70 years, and has accumulated rich resources, experience and strong school-running strength. It is the construction unit of "double high plan" in Sichuan higher vocational colleges, a provincial demonstration higher vocational college and a provincial high-quality higher vocational college.
