The landscape architecture major of Nanjing Forestry University belongs to the School of Landscape Architecture, and its construction goal is "a multidisciplinary college with landscape architecture as the leading feature and environmental art as the supplement, involving the field of art design". Professor Chen Zhi, the founder, is an outstanding gardener and the founder of modern horticulture in China. His Introduction to Horticulture, Ornamental Trees, History of China Gardens and Notes on Gardening and Metallurgy are classic works of Chinese landscape architecture, which construct the basic framework of Chinese modern horticulture and lay a solid foundation for the development of landscape architecture in our school. The college has three master's degrees in landscape plants and ornamental horticulture, urban planning and design (including landscape planning and design), landscape plants and ornamental horticulture and art design, and has the right to award master's degrees in landscape architecture. Master's degree in engineering, agronomy, literature and doctor's degree in agronomy can be awarded.

The landscape architecture major of Southeast University belongs to the School of Architecture. The study of Jiangnan Classical Gardens initiated by Professor Tong Mao in 1930s and 1950s, and the study of Jiangnan Classical Gardens by Professor Pan and Professor Du Shunbao have improved the discipline structure, expanded the discipline category and perfected the discipline system of Jiangnan Classical Gardens. Since 1986, it has enrolled three undergraduate majors in landscape architecture, which is one of the first universities in China to carry out undergraduate professional education in landscape architecture (engineering). 1989 stopped enrolling students due to the influence of the major setting in the State Council, but retained the organization and personnel setting at the teaching and research section level, and retained the professional education (including master's degree and doctoral degree) at the postgraduate level (attached to urban planning and design). In 2004, the Department of Landscape Architecture was established, and master's and doctoral students majoring in landscape architecture were recruited independently. In 2007, five-year undergraduate students majoring in landscape architecture (engineering) were restored, and teaching and scientific research were carried out with the modern educational thought and teaching framework of landscape architecture.

As can be seen from the above introduction, although the professional names are the same, the emphasis is different. Lin Nan University is from the perspective of landscape architecture, while Dongda University is mainly from the perspective of landscape architecture.
