Hunan Institute of Science and Technology is located in Hengyang City, the hometown of Wangchuanshan, the second largest city in Hunan Province. Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2007, Hunan Institute of Building Materials and Hengyang Branch of Hunan University merged into a provincial public undergraduate college. On March 20 10, Hunan industrial technology workers college was merged as a whole.
